Five Senses was formed by Alexandra Ray in 2002. A graduate in Fine Arts from St. Martin’s School of Art and Design in London, she has pushed the creative boundaries ever since. First as an editorial photographer in 1987 and later as a contemporary furniture designer in San Francisco where her design company, Muse Ltd., became an instant success. In 1995, Alex became an interior designer and has since transformed homes and commercial projects. In 2005 she launched Five Senses Art Consultancy, helping clients acquire contemporary Art and start satisfying personal art collections. Five Senses Interiors grew out of a philosophy to encourage the total sensual enjoyment of one’s environment. Her passion is helping individuals create a sanctuary in which they feel stimulated and alive. After remodeling homes in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Spain, and London, her unique hands-on expertise is matched by her own impeccable sense of style. Her approach to design is international in flavor and her search for new talent keeps her finger on the pulse, especially when dealing with all five senses!
She currently lives in San Francisco, with her husband and son, and divides her time between London and the West Coast.
